SketchUp is an easy to learn and use 3D modeling program. It comes in limited free and paid full versions, but is free for personal. It is available on Windows and Mac. Here are some things you can do using SketchUp:
  • Quickly create 3D models, especially buildings, both interior and exterior
  • Match your model up with real photos, and/or use textures from photos on your model
  • Design buildings and landmarks and submit them to Google, to appear on Google Earth
  • Export models in .DWG or .DXF format and use them in AutoCAD.
